DIY Christmas gift idea #3

Hello guys! So, last year I did two Christmas gift ideas, and I thought it would be cool to do the same this year. This gift is not specific for anyone, I simply wanted some bookends to organize my books in the basement. I thought this would be great for those who love to read.

So, I bought two packages of modeling clay from the dollar store as well as two little plastic toy animals. I chose to work with clay, but you could glue wood since it’d give it a nicer finish.

Have in mind I didn’t make it for anyone so I did it in a rush but you could take your time to make the clay more smooth. After they dried, I painted them with white acrylic paint. I thought of painting them gold but I ended up liking how it looks with the white paint.

I did the same to the plastic toy animals and then hot glued them to the hardened clay.

And that’s it! I thought it’d make a great gift for that someone in your life that loves books. I find it easy enough for a child to make it for a parent or someone else. To me, this kind of gifts are so much more meaningful than something bought in a store and is budget friendly.

Thanks so much for reading again! I hope you guys liked this idea, let me know in the comments below. Have a great day 🙂
