Easy Knitted Gifts

Hi guys! I wanted to share with you guys 2 easy knitted gifts for anyone in your life! I have recently started to knit, so am in no way an expert and I still found this two projects easy. I learned from watching youtube videos, which are great since you can watch the steps while they explain it, instead of just reading from a book and looking at pictures.

My first ever knitting project was a pair of slippers. I bought some a while ago and I love them, so I thought it’d be great to make something I knew I’d enjoy. It was surprisingly easy, I think I made the pair in about a week and I was only knitting about 2 hours per day. The first slipper took me much longer, I think I made the second one in less than half the time. I am planning on making a pair for my mom as soon as I finish with the project I’m working on now. These slippers are so warm and cozy and I know that she will love that I made them.

I watched videos by Sandy Davis on youtube. She explains it step by step so it’s easy to follow. Like I said, this was my very first knitting project and I was able to make the slippers. Check her videos if you are planning on making these.

Another idea is the project I am working on right now. I am making a scarf for my boyfriend; he has a couple that he doesn’t wear and I know if I make it he will finally wear one!

This one is definitely more time consuming  as it is a bigger project. I’ve been working on it for about a week now and I am more than half way there so I should be finished with it in a few days. I usually knit about 2 to 2.5 hours while watching TV or a movie. He has seen me work on it but he has assumed I’m making it for myself. It’s just hard to find time to knit whit him not around. I think it will still be a nice surprise when he sees it in his gift bag, specially cause he’s seen me working on it for some time. I also followed a video for this one, at least for a few minutes. You do the exact same thing for the whole scarf so there’s no need to really follow a video or a pattern. I watched a video by VeryPink Knits on youtube. Check her video or check the pattern here.

I thought these two were really cute gift ideas to make for a loved one, I know it’s time consuming and you put effort into making them but that’s what makes them so fun and special. I hope this was helpful and even if you don’t think you can finish them by christmas, maybe consider them for a birthday or anniversary gift. Thank you guys so much for reading and have a great day!
